Hi everyone! First of all, I want to thank you for reading my article. It means a lot to me that you are taking your time to do so. I am not rich nor famous but, if this article helps even one person, I will be happy. As per usual, before we start any new project or venture in life there is preparation required. This article will focus on ifc.com activate guide – how to successfully add the IFCTV channel to your Roku and then activate it successfully.
First of all, what exactly is an IPTV? You may ask yourself; What’s IPTV? An IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) is similar to the traditional TV (Over The Air). However with IPTV, like Cable/Satellite it uses a dedicated connection to deliver a subscription-based video stream. The biggest difference between the traditional TV stations and IPTV is that with IPTV you must pay for the service whether using Cable/Satellite or streaming (such as RJIO in India)
Another big difference between traditional broadcast television over-the-air, cable, the satellite is the placement of equipment. With traditional paid established providers such as Comcast, you would require an installation technician to come into your home and install the necessary equipment (Modem/Router combo unit, coaxial cables, etc.) in order to receive the proper channels. This also includes paying the initial fees associated with setting up your account for this paid service. It’s not cheap! Some local companies offer free setups with the purchase of an annual/monthly contract (e.g., Comcast, DirecTV).
IPTV is fundamentally different in that you don’t need to pay anyone anything to get started watching your favorite shows or sporting events. All you need is a smart device with internet connectivity and an app like our IFCTV channel for Roku or Fire TV
As per usual, I’ve tried my best to make this article as easy to follow as possible.
Log in with TV Provider and ifc.com Activate

Firstly, we need to create an account with the IFC channel for Roku and Fire TV. If you already have a Roku or Fire TV and you’ve used it in the past to watch Indian/International content then you’re already set! Just log into your existing account when prompted. If this is your first time using IFCTV go ahead and create a new account on ifc.com
Secondly, after successfully registering, add your email address and name as shown below:
This will be required for verification purposes later on in order to activate the channel installed from the Roku store.
Thirdly, based on my experience it’s best NOT to use a # (number) in your email ID because it seems like the activation process has some issues. It might send you a million emails and all your email addresses will be unable to receive any future emails from the ifc.com domain address.
Fourth, after successfully registering for an account on ifc.com, go ahead and click ‘Continue’.
In my personal opinion it’s best NOT to use the Facebook login option because many people have reported that they get this error while trying to activate their IPTV channels:
This is what you’ll see if you use the Facebook Login option. In order to avoid being blocked during the activation process by IFC, we need to create an account using an active email ID which can later be used for password recovery purposes in case your credentials somehow get compromised at some point.
Fifth, go ahead and click ‘Create New Account.
Sixth, create a secure password.
Seventh, I recommend you enable Two Factor Authentication on your account because the Google Authenticator option is very secure. It’s not just another text or phone number that can be easily compromised by hackers. Go ahead and follow the prompts to configure 2FA on your ifc.com account. It’s really easy to do!
Eighth, after you have successfully logged in with your new credentials created earlier, you should see this screen:

IMPORTANT! You will need both of these values (username & password) before activating any IPTV channels via Roku Store/Fire TV app store! If for whatever reason you forget your username or password, you won’t be able to recover either so please keep them safe and secure.
Ninth, go ahead and click on the ‘Activate Your IPTV Service’ link shown above where it says “Please enter the details below in order to activate your new account”
Tenth, on the screen which comes up next, choose the ‘Free EPG’ package if you’re interested only in watching free content (Most of us are!) OR alternatively, move onto step #11 if you want access to both Paid & Free channels.
Eleventh, fill in the details as required, and make sure you click on the ‘Activate‘ tab once you’re done! This is very important because it’s also possible that you might have some issues during activation if this step isn’t followed. The last thing we want is to wait for hours or days for your service to activate only to find out that there was a simple mistake made at this key stage!
The free TV package has plenty of great shows but many people prefer paying for commercial-free viewing. This streaming service gives you access to everything! All International Channels + Sports Channels + All Indian Channels.
Twelfth, go ahead and download the Fire TV/Roku app store from your device. If you already have one of these devices then simply launch the app installed on your streaming device and search up IFCTV GO. It should appear as a result under “Apps
IMPORTANT: You’ll need to install the IFCTV GO app on your streaming device (Fire TV/Roku/Android TV etc.) in order to watch live channels. There is currently no web browser option available.
IMPORTANT: You’ll need an Android phone or tablet, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Windows 10 PC, or Apple computer because these are currently the ONLY officially supported devices that can be used for browsing & watching content. There’s no support for any other devices like game consoles or Smart TVs!
Thirteenth, after successfully downloading and launching the app go ahead and log in with your ifc.com details…
Fourteenth, simply click on the “Live” tab as shown above…
And you should be greeted with hundreds of channels to select from like this:
Viewing live US TV channels on your Android phone or tablet via the IFCTV GO app is extremely simple. It’s very easy to get started and doesn’t require any specialized technical knowledge of streaming devices or computers.
All you need is an internet connection, a browser (on your computer), and one of these streaming devices ( Fire TV / Roku ). You can use either 3G/4G LTE/WiFi connectivity.
The only requirement for viewing live tv online is that you must be running Android 4.0+ OR iOS 7+ devices because their native player works best among all other available platforms. If for whatever reason you’re not able to watch any streams using the official IFC Roku Channel, please contact [email protected] and they’ll be more than glad to help you out!
