Quality of design and construction
The HP Envy looks better than the Lenovo Yoga 730. It is available in two colors, silver and black. The design is simple and professional.
HP has certainly taken the time to develop a convertible laptop. The casing is well polished and feels smooth to the touch. It doesn’t attract fingerprints, which is a big advantage.
HP has a logo on the back. It’s metallic and shiny. In addition, the logo consists of four parallel lines (two short and two long).
Envy letters can also be found on the hinges and under the left side of the keyboard.
HP Envy x360 Review
When it comes to the quality of the construction. The HP Envy is robust and made of anodized aluminum.
This laptop does not bend or sag. The monocoque construction offers resistance to shocks and impacts.
The 13-inch device weighs 1.3 kg (2.88 pounds) and is 0.58 inches thick. The 15-inch device weighs 4.53 pounds (2.05 kg) and is 0.67 inches thick.
Both laptops are thin and light, making them easy to carry around. However, the metal construction makes it feel heavier than usual.
Overall, the HP Envy x360 laptop is excellent.
The Lenovo Yoga 730 has a similar design to the HP Envy x360. But HP looks so much better. It’s very subtle. The surface is better and smoother. Moreover, the design makes the keyboard even more beautiful.
Test of Lenovo Yoga 730
The Lenovo Yoga is available in two colors – silver and black. A convertible laptop with a smooth surface and sharp corners. Unfortunately, it’s a magnet for fingerprints. The Yoga logo is located in the top left corner of the screen.
Lenovo uses aluminum for build quality. It is strong and able to withstand frequent shocks.
But the keyboard sags a bit. The good news is that the screen cover is not bent. Thanks to the robust metal hinges.
In terms of weight, the 13-inch model weighs 2.47 pounds and is 0.55 inches thick. The 15-inch device weighs 1.9 kg (4.29 pounds) and is 0.67 inches thick. So they automatically belong to the class of ultraportable laptops.
Overall, the Lenovo Flex laptop looks great.
Disassembly/Assembly/ Upgrading
Accessing the interior of the HP Envy x360 is quite difficult. Many types of screws are rubber coated.
In addition, the edges and corners are very tight, making it difficult to open them with a flat edge.
Attempting to open it may result in damage to the chassis. Even if you manage to get in. You can only upgrade one solid state drive. The other internal components are soldered to the motherboard.
The Lenovo Yoga 730 is easy to open. Loosen the screws and you will have access to the internal components. But, in terms of scalability. There’s not much you can do.
Lenovo Yoga 730 Teardown
The SSD and the WLAN card are the only components that can be upgraded. The rest is welded together. This means that you cannot upgrade the RAM. So you are limited to the memory that came with the laptop.
Show
First of all. Convertible laptops have bright screens. Glossy screens have reflective surfaces and show reflections. In addition, the screens are a magnet for fingerprints and smudges.
The HP Envy x360 offers two screen size options – 13 and 15 inches. Both can have a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) or a 4K resolution (3840 x 2160).
Both display options are good. The Full HD picture is clear, with better colour fidelity and a wider colour gamut. The viewing angles are also excellent.
HP Envy x360
The 4K screen with 400 nits has the best features. There is also a 4K AMOLED option for those who prefer the 15-inch HP Envy x360.
The 13-inch HP Envy does not offer this option. AMOLED is a type of OLED screen.
You get better color accuracy, better brightness, better viewing angles, better contrast, etc. In short, the HP Envy x360 has great display capabilities.
Like the HP Envy x360, the Lenovo Yoga 730 has two screen sizes – 13 and 15 inches.
The 13-inch screen has only one resolution: Full HD. And it’s without reflection. The 15-inch device offers Full HD and 4K screen resolution. Unfortunately, there is no AMOLED option.
The 15-inch Full HD screen is also anti-reflective. As mentioned earlier, glossy screens are notorious for their reflections.
Lenovo made it anti-glare so it’s easy on the eyes. Both displays (Full HD and 4K) have the same brightness of 300 nits.
However, 4K offers better color accuracy, viewing angles and sharpness. The Full HD image is also bright and has decent color clarity.
Overall, the Lenovo Yoga 730 has a good screen. The HP Envy x360 won this round. Because it has better clarity and color accuracy.
Membrane keypad and touchpad
The way HP has designed the keyboard to blend into the body of the convertible laptop is excellent. This adds to the overall beauty of the laptop.
Silver keyboard for the silver housing and black keyboard for the black housing.
This is a full-size backlit keyboard without a numeric keypad. The keys are well placed and large enough.
Unfortunately, the up and down arrow keys are small. The touch feedback is correct and the key travel is comfortable enough.
The touchpad is large and smooth. It registers touches quickly and accurately.
Lenovo is known for its excellent keyboards. And the Yoga 730 only benefits from that. Large backlit keyboard with comfortable, wide keys.
Touch and type feedback is clearer than on HP’s Envy x360. In short, this is the best keyboard. Unfortunately, the keyboard freezes when you type.
The touch screen is centered. It’s pretty big, thin, and uses Windows Precision drivers. It also supports Windows gestures.
Power
Both the HP Envy x360 and the Lenovo Yoga 730 offer multiple hardware configurations. It will therefore be difficult to compare them directly.
But if we compare the highest configuration. Lenovo Yoga 730 wins.
Let’s take a look at the hardware configurations of the HP Envy x360. The HP Envy x360 relies on AMD and Intel for processors.
AMD is Ryzen 5 or 7 and Intel 8. Intel Core i5 generation to 10. Intel Core i7 generation.
The Intel Core i7 is the most powerful processor in the 15-inch HP Envy x360. All processors are efficient and powerful enough for everyday use and multitasking.
However, if you work with a fairly heavy workload most of the time. Intel Core i7 is the best option.
Lenovo Yoga 730
As for the graphics card, the 13-inch HP Envy x360 comes with an integrated card. The 15-inch models are equipped with either an integrated or a dedicated graphics card.
The integration can be AMD Vega or Intel HD, depending on the processor.
The NVIDIA MX150 or MX250 is used as a dedicated device. The integrated graphics card is not suitable for games.
Additionally, the MX150 and MX250 graphics cards are entry level. They are suitable for casual or light play. If they are AAA titles, they are unplayable or you have to play with the lowest settings.
Let’s move on to the Lenovo Yoga 730. As for the processors, you can opt for the Intel Core i7. The Intel Core i7 can handle fairly demanding workloads.
Lenovo does not offer AMD Ryzen processors for the Lenovo Yoga 730.
As for the graphics card, it can be integrated or dedicated. The 13-inch model has a built-in card, while the 15-inch model offers two options.
The integrated card is an Intel HD graphics card. Special card – NVIDIA GTX. It is much more powerful than the MX series.
It offers better gaming performance than this one. At the very least, you will be able to play games with AAA titles on low to medium settings.
Overall, the two devices deliver similar performance. But if you like normal games or if you need special graphics to work. The Lenovo Yoga 730 would be the best option.
Battery life
Battery life depends on the screen option and hardware configuration you choose.
With continuous use, the HP Envy x360 Full HD laptop lasts 9 to 10 hours at medium brightness. The battery life of the HP Envy 4K is 6 to 7 hours under normal use.
The Lenovo Yoga 730 lasts 8-9 hours in full HD continuous use. The Lenovo Yoga 730 4K will last 6-7 hours under normal use.

This is not a review, just a comparison and a review. The review will be on the Lenovo Yoga 730 while the comparison will be on the HP Envy x360.
Is HP Envy x360 discontinued?
The HP Envy x360 was released in Q2 of this year, and it is the company’s first attempt to take on the new wave of laptops. It is a laptop with an extremely stylish design, good specs, and a low starting price. The question is whether the HP Envy x360 is a good laptop for you, or if you should consider a different one. This is the HP Envy x360. It is a Windows all-in-one convertible laptop, and it is one of the best Windows all-in-ones that I have ever used. It is not perfect. But, for the most part, it is pretty darn good. The HP Envy x360 features a 360 degree hinge, and it can convert into a tablet. It is a feature that is not terribly common, and I like it a lot. The HP Envy x360 is a Windows 10 laptop, and it is also a convertible. It is the first convertible Windows 10 machine that I have used. I like a convertible laptop, as I feel that they are more comfortable compared to other laptops.
Is Lenovo Yoga 730 good?
I’ve been a fan of Lenovo’s Yoga line for a long time, but I’ve always been a bit skeptical of their flagship laptop, the Yoga 730. Not because I don’t like it, but because 1) I wasn’t sure I want a laptop with a touchscreen, and 2) I’ve had some bad experiences with Lenovo laptops in the past. Yoga 730 weighs only 2.9KG and comes with one of the best screen-to-body ratio (around 84%), and the one thing I did not like about this tablet is the back frame. I always confuse the back frame & back panel. Lenovo Yoga 730 is a slim & sleek design tablet, but the back frame & back panel makes this tablet looks bulky and heavy. I am not a fan the design or looks of Lenovo Yoga 730, but I am a fan of the screen’s good performance. I will not say that Lenovo has a better screen than Yoga 730, because the color of the screen is not as vivid as the Yoga 730’s screen’s, but the
