WebmasterRadio's SEO Experts Share Mobile-Friendly Advice and Best Practices

Late last week, the Google Developers blog featured a comprehensive post on some common mistakes they see on mobile websites, ranging from blocked JavaScript, CSS and image files to irrelevant cross-links.

In the same vein, some of WebmasterRadio.FM's SEO-themed radio programs offered their advice that we recommend you refer to as you make those essential mobile friendly modifications.

SEM Synergy opened their March 18th episode titled "Google Mobile Friendly Preparations; Penalties for Doorway Pages" by discussing the importance of the Google Provided Mobile Friendly Checker Tool, as well as clarifying if the tool only tests the home pages or all of the pages of a website.

On the March 19th edition of Digital Marketplace, Frank Watson asked Internet Marketing INCs Benj Arriola speaks about some of the technical implementations and advantages of using responsive design. (Look for Benj's response around the 13-minute mark.)

Below is a list to additional WebmasterRadio.FM episodes that featured discussions on preparations for the pending mobile friendly algorithm reported to be rolling out on April 21st.

    • Jim Hedger and Dave Davies spoke last week about the significance of Googles Mobile Friendly Algorithm on Webcology
    • Ross and John Carcutt ask Google Webmaster Analyst John Mueller what to expect from the rollout on SEO 101 last week.
    • SEO Rockstars Chris Boggs and Frank Watson commented initially on the story when it was first announced that Mobile Friendliness Will Soon Be Ranking Signal on Google.
