Web Designers - Win $5000 in Cut&Paste Powered Contest

About six weeks ago, Cut & Paste Digital Design Tournament organizer John Fiorelli was a guest on Webcology. The tournament is by far the largest digital design competition in the world with artists from 16 different regional tournaments held in various cities around the world competing for the right to vie for the title of international Cut&Paste champion. Yesterday, we received an email from the Cut&Paste crew outlining an interesting charity event they’re taking part in, the Scion Freshly Squeezed Web Design Challenge. Powered by Cut&Paste, the contest asks “all around creative types to submit their designs for the website of LA non-profit group J.U.i.C.E. (Justice by Uniting in Creative Energy)”. The winner takes home a cash prize of $5000. J.U.i.C.E. is a non-profit weekly after school program that gives underprivileged youth in the Los Angeles area the chance to express themselves through dance, music, visual arts and MC workshops. Scion is one of the hipper automobile brands built by the Toyota Motor Corporation. Submissions for the Cut&Paste powered Scion Freshly Squeezed Web Design Challenge are being accepted until April 10 and can be sent as screen shots in JPEG, GIF or PNG format on the scionjuice.cutandpast.com page. Full contest rules are available here. The next Cut&Paste city tournament events take place in Boston (March 14), New York City (March 21), Toronto (March 28) and Chicago (April 4).
