Snowbirds are coming! Run for your lives!
In South Florida, a small herd of them arrive on outbound flights predominantly from the Northeast between November and the Holiday Season. But it is in January where the 65 and up snowbirds "flock" to beat the cold in God's waiting room. With that, I am subjected to, like every native South Floridian, a longer commute to work with traffic congestion surrounded by huge Lincoln Town Cars with right turn signals flashing. As soon as I pass those cars on a nearby passing lane I can see that my presumptions that a snowbird is behind the wheel are correct. So this time of year I remember to make my plans to leave a few minutes earlier for my hour-long commute to work. I look on the bright side, at least it's only until April:)
