Mobilegeddon or No Mobilegeddon: SEO Experts Agree About Taking Mobile-Friendly Action

Mobilegeddon arrived this past Tuesday, and early reports saw little if any significant changes when examining search queries and monitoring the SERPs. So WebmasterRadio.FMs select group of SEO experts chose to take a wait-and-see approach and focus on taking preventative measures.

The SEO Rockstars saw little to report on Mobilegeddon and spoke about breaking news that shocked the search marketing industry as Incisive Media sold its Interactive Marketing division of ClickZ, SES, and Search Engine Watch to Blenheim Chalcot and its portfolio company Contentive. Nevertheless, they did discuss how early reports determined that the full Google Mobile Friendly Algorithm will still take some time to rollout.

On SEM Synergy, the Bruce Clay team looked into how to work with clients with their websites so as to avoid any implications of the April 21st Google Mobile-Friendly Algorithm Rollout.

SEO 101 shared what Google had told website owners to help with making their sites mobile-friendly in the form of frequently asked questions they posted on their Google Webmaster Blog.

Webcology took a different turn and looked into the hype that Mobilegeddon caused, as well as looking at some of the other names created. In this writer's opinion, I preferred Mobilegeddon to Googlapolypse.
